Greenfield Alliance Church is a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA).  The C&MA was founded by Albert Benjamin Simpson.  It did not start as a denomination, but rather began as two distinct parachurch organizations: The Christian Alliance and the Evangelical Missionary Alliance.  These two groups joined in 1897 to form the C&MA.  It was later, around the mid-20th century, that an official denomination was formed.
